It is really quite remarkable how much this tune changes the car. Everything everyone says about this is spot on; the shifts are faster, smoother, and more precise – both up and down – especially at high rpm’s where the stock shifting is quite rough even when you nail it. I think I am going to miss rev-matching the downshifts myself because it’s more engaging to do it that way, but it’s a small price to pay for a much smoother system in general!
This changed my whole cars feel. This tune made all the shifts crisp, fast, smooth, and just brought the fun back into the smg that it very much needed. Feels and drives like a new car. If you are planing on keeping your smg this is the tune for you between the downshifts and the smoothness it makes for the perfect daily driver.
Let me start off by saying that this transmission tune is by far the best thing I have done to my M3 yet. Turn around time for tune was as promised. Decided to play around with my car for about a week before leaving a review. I noticed a difference immediately after the first initial drive. Downshifting is now almost unfelt compared to the sluggish head bobbing downshifts prior to the tune. Auto mode is a lot smoother, and up shifting using paddles/shifter is MUCH more responsive like a modernized vehicle. All I can say is wow, my SMG was brought back to life for a more than reasonable price and easy DIY.
