The BMW E46 M3 utilizes the stock MAF to pull intake air temperature (IAT) readings, however the location is not optimized for real-world environment thus leading to heat soak and decreased engine performance. Our Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Relocation Kit allows you to connect an external sensor to an optimized location to send the correct information to the ECU. This kit comes with necessary mounting hardware. Splicing to your MAF sensor harness is required.
IAT relocation is required when running an AlphaN map in conjunction with a CSL airbox or velocity stack conversion. CSL IAT sensor uses a different scaling and is for CSL ECU only.
